IMPACT

SAJIDA Foundation joined forces with WaterAid Bangladesh in 2012 in the implementation of a WASH programme, the activities of which commenced on 1st October 2012 and completed planned activities in March 2018. The project, worked for the pavement dwellers, working and school children had been aptly titled “Improving & Promoting Access to Safe Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Pavement Dwellers and Working Children” (IMPACT). As part of project achievements SAJIDA Foundation has created water facilities for 17,955 and sanitation facilities for 13,236 beneficiaries by installing 30 safe water facilities and 17 sanitation facilities including 2 rain water harvesting system in 18 Schools, 4 Drop in Centres and 7 Pavement Dwellers Centers. There hygiene awareness programs had 20,851 participants comprising of school students, pavement dwellers & working children.
