"SAJIDA's SUDIN Programme should continue expanding their services, ensuring that more individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds can benefit, just as I did."
- Sokhina Begum, Programme Participant, SUDIN
Sokhina Begum, aged 50, lost her husband Abul Hossain to COVID-19 in 2020. She owned a small shop, but due to limited funds, her inventory was restricted. During those trying times, SAJIDA Foundation provided her with invaluable support. With financial assistance from SAJIDA Foundation, she reinvested in her shop, and it has been thriving ever since. This boost significantly aided her family, which has been struggling ever since the passing of her husband.
SAJIDA Foundation's SUDIN Programme played a crucial role during this difficult period. They not only provided financial support but also organised 'Boithok Khana', an initiative that offers underprivileged individuals access to medical professionals for healthcare needs. Additionally, they raise awareness about issues like drug addiction and child marriage.
The "Boithok Khana" Apas (community helpers) were exceptionally caring and supportive to Sokhina. "SAJIDA Foundation's SUDIN Programme should continue expanding their services, ensuring that more individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds can benefit, just as I did," said Sokhina Begum.
