The dengue outbreak in Bangladesh has already claimed 500 lives this year. SAJIDA Foundation is working closely with the government’s relevant authorities to tackle the outbreak.

On August 26th, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, also the Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and Saber H Chowdhury, Member of Parliament from (Dhaka-9) and Special Envoy to the Honorable Prime Minister for climate change, toured the operational zones of the WASH4UP Project in Wards No. 05, 22, & 53 under DSCC as part of the Dengue Awareness Campaign.

Both the Mayor and the MP commended SAJIDA Foundation's efforts and expressed their gratitude for the significant contributions. The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and WaterAid Bangladesh have supported this initiative.

SAJIDA Foundation has been actively involved in the awareness and cleanliness drive for some time, aiming to raise public consciousness and eradicate the dengue outbreak in Bangladesh.
