Urban Poverty Alleviation
This Mother’s Day, as we show our affection and appreciation for the loving mothers in our families, let us also wish those unsung mothers who are forever struggling in the periphery – the domestic help keeping our homes clean, the woman selling vegetables on the roadside; the beggar at your car window, carrying her child – always right in front of us, but never quite in the picture. Here’s to all mothers, everywhere, who are struggling in their own ways, fighting their own battles, to ensure a life of health, happiness and dignity for their children. Here’s to their dreams and hopes, their courage and unwavering resolution that their children will grow up to be kind and successful. May all their wishes come
